Frequently Asked Questions (FAQs)

What are the rates for your services?

Initial intake assessment (90 minutes): $250

Individual therapy, parent coaching, and school consultation (60 minutes): $175

Clinical Supervision and Speaking Engagement: Duration and rate varies. Please contact me for more information.

Do you take insurance for therapy services?

I accept Aetna, Cigna, and Optum (which includes UnitedHealthcare, UMR, etc.) via a third-party billing company. Click here to verify your insurance coverage.

For other insurances, you can seek potential reimbursement from your insurance company through your out-of-network benefits. Your insurance company may reimburse partial or full payment for services. The covered amount will depend on your policy. Please check with your insurance company to find out if you have out-of-network benefits.

You can also choose to self-pay or request for sliding scale fees (available on a case-by-case basis).

No Surprises Act

Under the law, health care providers need to give patients who do not have insurance or who are not using insurance an estimate of the bill for medical items and services.

  • You have the right to receive a “Good Faith Estimate” for the total expected cost of any non-emergency items or services. This includes related costs like medical tests, prescription drugs, equipment, hospital fees, and mental health services.

  • Make sure your health care provider gives you a Good Faith Estimate in writing at least 1 business day before your services. You can also ask your health care provider, and any other provider you choose, for a Good Faith Estimate before you schedule an appointment.

  • If you receive a bill that is at least $400 more than your Good Faith Estimate, you can dispute the bill.

  • Make sure to save a copy or picture of your Good Faith Estimate.

For questions or more information about your right to a Good Faith Estimate, visit  www.cms.gov/nosurprises or call the No Surprises Help Desk at (800) 985-3059.

You will receive a Good Faith Estimate with your intake paperwork at the time of scheduling an appointment. If at anytime during treatment you like to request another Good Faith Estimate, please contact me. A Good Faith estimate will be emailed to you within 24 hours.

What forms of payment do you accept?

I accept all major credit cards and Flexible and Health Savings Accounts (FSA/HSA) for payment. All fees are due at the time of service.

What is your cancellation policy?

Your appointment time is reserved specifically for you. I understand that uncertainty in life happens, so please kindly request cancellations up to 24 hours before a scheduled appointment to avoid being charged for a full session. No-show fees may be waived on a case-by-case basis (e.g., emergency situations).
