Clinical Supervision
I am a Board approved Qualified Supervisor for Registered Mental Health Counselor Interns seeking licensure (LMHC) in state of Florida. I offer both individual and group supervision.
My approach to supervision is based on the developmental model. Your level of experience and prior knowledge and skills will be taken into consideration to help promote new learning. As your supervisor, I will work with you to explore your goals as an early-career mental health professional and guide you toward the accountability to law, ethics, and best practices.
Individual and group supervision sessions are structured and educational in nature. Supervision will involve case reviews, collaborative problem-solving, goal-setting, didactic training, as well as skills-based practice on case conceptualization and the implementation of evidence-based treatment strategies.
As a registered intern in the state of Florida, you are required to complete 1500 client contact hours under the supervision of a Qualified Supervisor. You must have at least 1 hour of supervision every 2 weeks, for a minimum of 100 hours of supervision in no less than 100 weeks. Hence, deciding on your supervisor is an important decision. I take pride in providing a safe and supportive environment to help you grow as a professional and as an individual throughout the supervision process.
